Where Wonder Lives in Every Corner

Tales of Josie is a book series of whimsical, magical-realism stories for children ages 4–8, where everyday life quietly shimmers with wonder. In Josie's world, teapots talk back, shadows get grumpy, and even toast has its own ideas about adventure. What begins as something ordinary often blooms into something extraordinary.

At the heart of these stories is Josie herself: curious, empathetic, imaginative, and endlessly fascinated by the world around her. Whether she's coaxing stubborn words into behaving, comforting a lonely chair, or discovering invisible doors, Josie approaches everything with kindness, humor, and a touch of childlike courage.

Originally created as bedtime stories for my own children, Tales of Josie gently explores themes of empathy, responsibility, friendship, and emotional awareness — all wrapped in playful, imaginative adventures that resonate with young readers and grown-ups alike. Each story stands on its own, yet together they form a cozy, thoughtful journey through big feelings and small everyday wonders.

Perfect for read-alouds, early independent reading, classroom sharing, or those in-between moments when imagination is needed most, Tales of Josie invites families to slow down, look a little closer, and rediscover the quiet magic hidden in plain sight.
